As a 2IC Security Officer, you will play a crucial leadership role in the delivery of security services and daily security operations. **Key Responsibilities:** * Through effective leadership you will foster a culture of professionalism, safety, and continuous improvement amongst your team of security officers. * Ensure all procedures and protocols are followed in line with MSS Security and client expectations. * Respond to and manage security incidents, emergencies, and critical events. * Liaise professionally with parliament staff, stakeholders, and visitors to manage high-risk situations. * Monitor and control entry points, verify identification, and conduct security screenings to prevent unauthorised access. * Accurately document any incidents or security breaches, ensuring they are communicated to the appropriate personnel. **Ideal candidates will have:** * Prior experience in security, law enforcement or correctional facilities preferably in a high-profile or government environment. * Proven leadership skills with the ability to supervise, drive and mentor team members. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment. * A professional approach and high standards of personal presentation. **Requirements:** * Full Australian working rights. * Valid Tasmanian Security licence. * Valid First Aid and CPR certificates. * Working With Vulnerable People (or willing to obtain). * Willing to undergo and pass a National Criminal History check. **Master License Number:** 5784 **How to apply** ---------------- MSS Security is an Equal Opportunity Employer, valuing the unique backgrounds, experiences, and contributions of each person We encourage and celebrate diversity.
