**Position Overview**

United Health Services (UHS) is seeking an Access Care Supervisor to provide operational leadership and oversight for Central Scheduling and Financial Clearance functions. Reporting to the Access Care Manager, the Access Care Supervisor is responsible for coordinating daily operations, ensuring efficient patient access workflows, and supporting exceptional service delivery across scheduling, pre-registration, financial counseling, and financial clearance activities. This role plays a critical part in maintaining compliance, promoting operational excellence, and ensuring patients and providers receive timely and accurate support throughout the care access process.
The Access Care Supervisor leads quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives, conducts operational reviews, and monitors team performance to identify opportunities for enhanced efficiency and service quality. Working collaboratively with patients, physicians, and internal stakeholders, the supervisor manages follow-up activities, addresses compliance concerns, and supports the ongoing success of the department through coaching, process improvement, and staff development. This position serves as a key resource in fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement while ensuring a positive patient experience and organizational compliance standards.

**Job Responsibilities**

* Supervise the daily operations of Central Scheduling and Financial Clearance functions to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
* Provide leadership, guidance, and support to Scheduling, Pre-Registration, Scheduled Financial Counseling, and Financial Clearance team members.
* Monitor departmental workflows and operational performance to identify opportunities for improvement and increased efficiency.
* Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to established standards and procedures.
* Lead performance improvement initiatives and implement corrective actions to enhance operational outcomes and patient experience.
* Coordinate and manage follow-up activities with patients, physicians, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and support continuity of care.
* Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and departmental procedures.
* Identify areas of non-compliance and collaborate with staff and leadership to implement corrective and preventive measures.
* Support the Access Care Manager in achieving departmental goals, strategic initiatives, and ongoing operational success.
* Prepare reports, track key performance indicators, and communicate operational trends, challenges, and recommendations to department leadership.
**Education/Experience**
**Required:**
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* Five (5) years’ experience in access care, customer service or a related field
* Two (2) years supervisory experience OR demonstrated internal experience as a supervisor, senior access care rep, or Team Lead Access care
**Preferred:**
* Bachelor’s degree
* Five (5) years’ experience in access care, customer service or a related field,
* Two (2) years supervisory experience.
* Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) or Certified Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM)
