Account Specialist Child Abuse Pediatrics Ft Days

**Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference.** **Job Summary** Supports and facilitates the maintenance of accurate and efficient business operations. Provides direct customer service, accounts support, and/or clerical/administrative support for the department. **Essential Functions** * All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's purpose:  Inspire health.  Serve with compassion.  Be the difference. * Handles incoming calls to the department. Provides information to callers/visitors pertaining to the services of the department. Greets internal/external callers/visitors. * Registers patients and verifies payer source. * Follows up on all account claims that have been billed and unpaid * Reports key statistics for compliance, sales, revenue, cash and patient flow. * Performs insurance pre-authorization process, enters, validates, and reconciles visit activity and supplies to ensure accurate billing. * Posts payments every day and reconcile deposits. * Performs other duties as assigned. **Supervisory/Management Responsibilities** * This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive. **Minimum Requirements** * Education - High School diploma or equivalent, OR post high school diploma * Experience - Two (2) years of customer service experience. **In Lieu Of** * NA **Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses** * NA **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities** * Proficient computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, database, data entry) **Work Shift** Day (United States of America) **Location** 9 Medical Park Rd Richland **Facility** 3455 Pediatric Child Abuse 9 Med Park 420 **Department** 34551000 Pediatric Child Abuse 9 Med Park 420-Practice Operations Share your talent with us!
