Accountant

**Role Summary:** We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant with expertise in accounting. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. **Responsibilities:** * Manage day-to day accounting activities, including journal entries, accruals and reconciliations. * Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end and year-end closings. * Responsible for US GAAP accounting, reporting and analyses of data and other ad hoc requests for information * Performing general ledger account analysis and Balance Sheet account reconciliations * Prepare SOX controls * Create and maintain process documentation * Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and explanations. * Collaborate with other finance functions to streamline accounting processes **Requirements:** * Intermediate verbal and written communication skills in English * BS or BA Degree in Finance and Accounting and/or 3-5 years relevant experience * Experience with General Ledger activities: prepare journal entries, accruals for month-end, year-end close, prepare reconciliations, resolve open items * ERP knowledge with any of these tools: SAP, Oracle, Great Plains, Blackline * Analytical and problem-solving skills **Preferred:** * Basic understanding of US GAAP or IFRS * SOX control related knowledge
