Title: Accountant I, Accounting   ----------------------------------- Job Summary: ------------ A highly motivated Accountant I is sought to support manufacturing operations within a rapidly expanding renewable energy environment. This role will play a critical part in financial reporting, cost accounting, and operational support, contributing to improved efficiency and accuracy across solar manufacturing operations.   ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- **Responsibilities include:** ----------------------------- * Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for manufacturing operations ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * Support cost accounting, including standard costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis (labor, materials, and overhead) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * Partner closely with plant operations to analyze production performance and identify cost-saving opportunities -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * Monitor inventory transactions and cycle counts, ensuring accurate reporting of raw materials and finished goods ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and corporate policies ---------------------------------------------------------------------- * Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities --------------------------------------------------------------------- * Support internal and external audits, including SOX compliance (if applicable) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ * Drive process improvements and automation initiatives within accounting workflows --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * Provide financial insights to support operational and strategic decision-making ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * Perform all other duties as assigned.   ----------------------------------------- **Qualifications:** ------------------- * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline ----------------------------------------------------------------- * Minimum of 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * Demonstrated knowledge of cost accounting and inventory management ------------------------------------------------------------------ * Experience working with ERP systems; SAP experience preferred ------------------------------------------------------------- * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and data analysis -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards -------------------------------------------------------------- * CPA or CMA designation preferred -------------------------------- **Physical Requirements and Working Conditions** ------------------------------------------------ * Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer --------------------------------------------------------------- * Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, filing, and operating office equipment ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ * Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching --------------------------------------------------- * Ability to lift and carry light office materials (up to 10–15 lbs.), such as files or office supplies ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * Visual acuity to read computer screens, documents, and reports -------------------------------------------------------------- * Ability to attend meetings and interact with employees, customers, and vendors ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ #CSPowerSystems
