**A2R Reporting Senior Accountant – \[APAC & Greater Gulf\]** * _Grade: L2-1_ * _Hiring Manager: A2R Reporting Manager_ * _% Remote working and % of travel expected: Hybrid working arrangement_ * _Job type: Permanent, Full Time_ _About the job_ _**Our Team:**_ _The Account to Report (A2R) Reporting team is accountable for the processing of transactions related to accounting and reporting of financial books. This role will support the A2R Reporting Lead in ensuring the enforcement of accounting standards and reliability of the data collected from management, controllers, tax department and other end-to-end processes. Apart from that, this role will require active participation in driving A2R continuous improvement initiatives._ _**Key Responsibilities:**_ **_Core model Implementation_** * _Implement and ensure alignment with core model_ * _Propose and support any project which aim to align to core model but also transform and automate our processes_ * _Embrace RPA mindset_ * _Operations_ * _Ensure quality reporting of legal statutory accounts and consolidation packages within the local regulatory and Sanofi Group calendar timeframes_ * _Monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (IFRS) and company procedures SAGA and GDOPS to ensure integrity of financial information_ * _Active participation in various closing governance meetings_ * _Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures._ * _Highlight potential delays if any_ * _Support A2R Reporting Lead in CFO closing meetings by providing detailed analysis and/or explanation of material changes._  * _Contribute to Sanofi Account Committee and Customer Board preparation and reviews_ * _Collaborate with A2R In Country Head, other End to End processes (P2P, OTC and PS), tax & treasury departments and Country Finance, Finance Operation (FO) to manage and address potential closing risks (pre/post close meetings)_ * _Active participation in Sanofi global projects & Transitions with close collaboration with Project team, Country Finance, FO and other End to End processes (P2P, OTC and PS)_ * _Implement successfully A2R Core Model for transitions to KL (inclusive of participation where required in CM presentation & IA workshops)_ * _Challenge assumptions and validate results to ensure financial data reflects true business performance._ * _Ensure accurate and timely preparation of statutory financial statements in compliance with local accounting and regulatory requirements._ * _Align, promote and deliver as per Global A2R Vision, Mission incorporating all Sanofi’s Take the Lead behaviors._   **_Compliance_** * _Maintains strong internal controls by initiating change management to put in place all internal controls process as per A2R Core Model and ensuring compliance to SOX controls and local GAAP_ * _Ensure SOX and Internal Control Framework compliance across activities, and partner with A2R Reporting Lead and Country Finance to review, identify and address any gaps._ * _Support external and internal audits by working closely with A2R Reporting Lead and Country Finance_ * _Ensure adequate follow up on issues identified during external and internal audit_ * _Ensure proper internal control framework and prepare SOA documentation_ * _Ensure SOP documentations are updated on timely basis to reflect latest process/tool/policy changes_ **_Continuous Improvements_** * _Partner with A2R Reporting Lead in monitoring performance on a continuous basis against agreed SLAs and define corrective actions, where necessary_ * _Identify and articulate improvement areas across processes and technology – including ERP and other tools and solutions_ * _Support customer satisfaction initiatives, including regular assessment of service satisfaction across Country Finance and other stakeholders_ _About you_ _**Key Requirements:** **Essential Skills and Experience**_ * _Minimum 6 years of relevant working experience in the Finance/Accounting sector/A2R /SSC_ * _Exposure to multinational or regional corporate business environments, or similar_ * _Working experience with SAP, specifically Fi/Co_ * _Proficient in the use of applications in the MS-Office suite, including MS-Excel_ * _Good English communication skills, both verbal and written_ * _Accounting standards: main country of the region and IFRS_ * _Attention to detail_ * _Essential Qualifications_ * _Minimum Qualifications: ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or a Bachelor's/Professional Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or an equivalent._ **_Desirable Skills and Experience_** * _Working experience in a customer-facing and service-oriented corporate position_ * _Working experience in a Finance shared services environment, either captive (in-house) or in a BPO setting_ * _Good interpersonal and communication skills_ * _Possess strong analytical skill_ **_Sanofi Behaviors and Skills_** _This position is required to demonstrate behaviors such as Stretch, Put the interest of the organization, Act in the interest of our patients and customers and Take Action.
