Adjunct Faculty Theology

Summary ======= The Department of Theology and Philosophy invites applicants for an Adjunct position in the field of Theology. The primary purpose of this adjunct position in theology is to teach no more than three undergraduate theology courses at 3 credits per course per semester, including, but not limited to, the introductory courses in the discipline. **This position is In-Person** Essential Functions =================== * Preparation of course syllabus, including content, assessment tools, and pedagogical methods, including service learning where appropriate, and familiarizing oneself with the College of Arts and Sciences Adjunct Faculty Manual. * Assess student learning through a variety of evaluative measures, including but not limited to examinations, class participation, small group activities, essays and papers of varied lengths, and presentations as appropriate. * Assess the learning goals of the general education curriculum when appropriate through clearly defined assignments. * Delineate office hours for meeting with students. * Maintain communication with the Chair of the Department regarding content and pedagogical questions and concerns, as well as student progress and concerns as necessary. * Interacting with colleagues in the Department.
