Admissions - Graduate Assistant Ambassador

**Job Title: Graduate Assistant Ambassador** Department: Admissions Supervisor: Courtney Youngblood Starting Rate of Pay: $12.00 Length of Time: Eligible for rehire on a semester basis. **Department Description** * The Office of Undergraduate Admissions is responsible for recruiting and enrolling freshmen, transfer, and re-admit students. **Job Description** * Graduate Ambassadors serve as the front-line of customer service for all prospective students and families. These students maintain a thorough knowledge of the university and will develop professional skills in communication, time management, and personal responsibility. **Job Location/ Hours Required** The candidate will perform most/all job duties on campus. Hours may vary depending on the job requirements; however, the total number of hours a student employee may work per week is 20 hours. **Responsibilities**: * Collaborates with members of the Admissions team * Provides a consistent tour experience for Admissions guests 2-5 times on average per week based on availability * Assist in creating a welcoming atmosphere on campus during admissions events and daily tours * Provides comprehensive customer service to exceed visitors’ expectations * Maintains positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating effectively with co-workers, supervisors and other members of the HPU Community * Other duties as assigned **Required Qualifications:** Bachelor’s Degree Required **Desired Skills:** * Customer service experience desired * Ability to provide unmatched customer service to HPU guests * Ability to communicate in a positive manner * Ability to focus on details and prioritize * Ability to work special events which may include evenings and/or weekends * Proficiency with Microsoft products and general current technology
