Advanced Radiologic Technologist - Ft

**Find your calling at Mercy!** =============================== **Position Details:** ===================== The Advanced Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures to support patient diagnosis and treatment. This role requires proficiency in operating imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, upholding high-quality imaging standards, and maintaining accurate records and documentation of procedures and findings. Effective communication with patients and healthcare professionals is essential for providing optimal care. * Operates all relevant advanced imaging equipment with expertise and precision, captures high-quality diagnostic images consistently across various machines, and reviews and verifies images for clarity and completeness before submission for interpretation. * Prepares, positions, and transfers patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process, and addressing any concerns, and providing radiation protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards. * Administers contrast media under a physician's direction and within the Radiology Department/Health System policies' guidelines. * Monitors imaging equipment for unsafe conditions and performs routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment. * Submits requests for equipment and/or technology needs and sees them through to resolution. * Manages and updates images and patient records completely and accurately in PACS (picture archival communication system)  * Schedules radiology examinations correctly. * Charges for supplies used accurately. * Performs clerical duties, as needed. * Assists with QA initiatives  * Assists with clinical rotations, as applicable. * Other duties as assigned. Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours. Experience: One (1) year of relevant experience OR graduate of Bachelor degree program Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.
