It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they're doing! _We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business._ The pay rate or range for this position is: $30.80 per hour   Job Summary ----------- As a representative for our company you will wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and pans using a dishwasher or by hand, and must be able to load and unload the dishwasher. Will maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in a clean and orderly condition. You will place clean dishes, utensils, and equipment in storage areas, and will prepare and package individual place settings. May be directed by Managers to: clean and prepare various foods for cooking and serving. Stock supplies such as food and utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and salad bars. Transfer by hand supplies and equipment between storage areas and work areas. Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pick up areas. Job Description --------------- **Benefits/Perks:** * No Weekends * Monday to Friday; 6:30am-:3:00pm * Snacks and meals provided during shifts * Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance * 13 paid holidays * 401K with match * Vacation and Sick days **Essential Functions** * _Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and/or pans using dishwashers or by hand_ * _Clean and prepare various foods for cooking and serving_ * _Must be able to load and unload the dish-washing machine_ * _Stock supplies such as food and utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and salad bar_ * _Clean garbage cans with water or steam_ * _Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition_ * _Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas_ * _Prepare and package individual place settings_ * _Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas_ * _Sweep and scrub floors_ * _Follows safety and sanitation procedures with all guidelines from OSHA, Department of Public Health and Risk Management_ _\*NOTE: Essential functions, as defined under the Americas with Disabilities Act, many include the following tasks which are Illustrative ONLY, and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed or assigned to this position._                                                                                                                                * **Knowledge and Skills** * _Previous experience in a high volume full service kitchen (desirable)_ * _Excellent verbal skills_ * _Sense of urgency_ * _Excellent customer service skills_ * _Ability to move throughout the café and kitchen in a safe manner_ * _Knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation_ **Education and Work Experience** * _High School Diploma or GED_ * _0-1 year experience in a full service kitchen environment, entry level_ **Work Environment** * _The work environment for Dish Machine Operators includes the following large kitchen environment elements and exposures_ * _Fast paced kitchen_ * _High sense of urgency_ * _Moderate to high noise level_ * _Some steam from the dishwasher and or sprayers_ * _Exposure to soap and cleaning solutions_ **Requirements** * _Candidate must have and maintain an active Servsafe Food Handlers card._ **Physical Demands** * _Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs_ * _Removing excess weight & seek assistance lifting heavier loads_ * _Must be able to stand a minimum of 8 hours a day_ * _Ability to wipe down table tops, table legs, pick up debris off floor and wipe down booth seats in all areas of the operation_ * _Including the following tasks: crouch, bend, reach, twist, lift to complete task_ * _Reach above and outward, to use rinse hose, retrieve or replace storage bins on overhead racks_ * _Pushing and pulling carts both loaded and unloaded_ * _Bending over to pick up items and/or turning and twisting with dishes/trays_ * _Using step ladder to get items at top shelves includes climbing, and reaching_ * _Reaching across the conveyor of washer to place/pick up pots, pans, and utensils_ * _Lifting/Carrying garbage/trash bags, trays with dishes & utensils_ * _Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision_ The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
