Part-time welcome!** **Description** The Cumberland Valley Surgery Center is a same-day, multispecialty surgery center based in Hagerstown, MD. It is the longest-serving facility of its type for the community. The center features two treatment rooms providing local/monitored anesthesia care, one operating room designed for procedures requiring general anesthesia, a preoperative area, and a post-anesthesia care area. **Awards** Awarded America's Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers 2022 by Newsweek **Case Assignments** Pain management, orthopedic, general, dental/oral, gynecology, plastic and reconstructive, podiatry, and endoscopy **Shifts** Monday-Friday (8-hour shifts). No call. No weekends. **Team Leadership** Marwan Wiggins, Chief Anesthesiologist **Requirements Responsibilities** Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures Pre-anesthesia assessment Obtains and/or verifies patient consent Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition Performance of clinical intervention as needed **Requirements** M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine ECFMC and FLEX Completion of approved residency in anesthesia Currently licensed as a physician **Lifestyle** Hagerstown, MD: Located approximately 70 miles from the city of Baltimore, MD, Hagerstown is in Maryland’s north-central region.
