Area Operations Manager

Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. **What You'll Be Doing** * Lead and optimize daily ready mix operations across multiple facilities to achieve safety, production, quality, and customer service objectives. * Drive a culture of safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement through effective leadership and accountability. * Collaborate with plant, sales, dispatch, and maintenance teams to maximize efficiency, resource utilization, and customer satisfaction. * Analyze operational performance metrics, identify opportunities, and implement solutions that improve productivity and profitability. * Develop, coach, and support employees while fostering engagement, teamwork, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. **What Are We Looking For** * Demonstrated capability to lead multi-site operations and deliver strong business results in a fast-paced environment. * Strong knowledge of operational processes, workforce planning, safety programs, and performance management practices. * Proven ability to analyze data, solve complex problems, and implement effective operational improvements. * Effective communication, relationship-building, and collaboration skills across all organizational levels. * Commitment to developing teams, promoting inclusion, and supporting a customer-focused culture. **Work Environment** * Primarily field-based with regular travel between ready mix locations and customer sites. * Combination of office, plant, and outdoor work environments with exposure to varying weather conditions and operational equipment. * Requires the ability to respond to business needs, operational priorities, and occasional after-hours situations. **What We Offer** * $120,000-$130,000 base salary and participation in our annual incentive plan. * 401(k) retirement savings plan with an automatic company contribution as well as matching contributions. * Highly competitive benefits programs, including: * Medical, Dental, and Vision along with Prescription Drug Benefits * Health Saving Savings Account (HSA), Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) * AD&D, Short- and Long-Term Disability Coverage as well as Basic Life Insurance * Paid Bonding Leave, 15 days of Paid Vacation, 40 hours of Paid Sick Leave and 10 Paid Holidays Equal Opportunity Employer - Minority / Female / Veteran / Disabled.
