**Build Innovative Food Processing Equipment with JBT Marel** JBT Marel is looking for a **Mechanical Assembler** to join our manufacturing team. In this hands-on role, you'll assemble industry-leading food processing equipment using mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components. What You'll Do -------------- * Assemble mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components on food processing equipment. * Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, work instructions, and bills of materials. * Perform equipment testing and troubleshooting to ensure products meet quality and performance standards. * Use hand tools, power tools, measurement tools, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively. * Operate overhead cranes, forklifts (training provided), and other shop equipment as needed. * Complete work within established labor standards while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area. * Inspect your work for quality and make adjustments as needed to ensure equipment meets specifications. * Collaborate with engineering, production, and fellow team members to meet production goals. What We're Looking For ---------------------- * High school diploma or GED preferred. * Previous manufacturing and/or mechanical assembly experience preferred. * Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics. * Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. * Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments. * Basic computer skills with the ability to view drawings and work instructions. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Welding experience is a plus, but not required. * Experience with industrial controls, variable frequency drives (VFDs), servo motors, cameras, or laser scanners is a plus. Physical Requirements --------------------- * Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb throughout the workday. * Lift up to 50 pounds regularly. * Push and move carts and materials. * Work from ladders or elevated platforms when needed. * Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with machinery, overhead cranes, forklifts, varying temperatures, and industrial noise.
