Assistant Plant Manager

Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. **What You'll Be Doing** * Oversee daily operations of the rock quarry in Gordon, Texas to ensure efficiency and productivity. * Achieve a production volume of 1.2 million tons per year while ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and company policies. * Implement and monitor safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment. * Coordinate with various departments to optimize production and meet quality standards. * Manage inventory and ensure timely delivery of materials. * Lead and develop a team to achieve operational goals and continuous improvement. **What Are We Looking For** * Strong leadership and team management skills. * Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. * Effective communication and interpersonal skills. * Knowledge of plant operations and safety regulations. * Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure. **Qualification Requirements** * Background in aggregates or building materials * Five years of aggregates operations management experience. * Advanced understanding of geology, mining methods, and regulations. * Proven leadership skills managing multiple, diverse teams. * Entrepreneurial thinking and business opportunity identification. **Work Environment** * Fast-paced and dynamic work environment. * Exposure to outdoor elements and varying weather conditions. * Collaborative team setting with opportunities for growth and development. **Physical Demands** * Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. * Frequent standing, walking, and climbing. * Exposure to loud noises and dusty environments. * Ability to operate heavy machinery and equipment. **What We Offer** * $85,000-$95,000 base salary and participation in our annual incentive plan. * 401(k) retirement savings plan with an automatic company contribution as well as matching contributions. * Highly competitive benefits programs, including: * Medical, Dental, and Vision along with Prescription Drug Benefits. * Health Savings Account (HSA), Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA). * AD&D, Short- and Long-Term Disability Coverage as well as Basic Life Insurance. * Paid Bonding Leave, 15 days of Paid Vacation, 40 hours of Paid Sick Leave and 10 Paid Holidays.
