Role Overview
-------------
The Artisan Associate Business Development Representative is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with insurance brokers and agents to drive profitable business growth within an assigned marketing territory. Working under supervision, this role supports new business development, producer engagement, renewal retention, and agency relationship management while representing the organization through sales, marketing, training, and industry outreach activities.
Key Responsibilities

* Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and agents to support profitable new business growth within an assigned territory.
* Generate new business through outside sales and marketing activities, achieving territory-specific submission and gross written premium growth objectives.
* Support renewal retention efforts by maintaining strong producer relationships and meeting established territory goals.
* Prospect, recruit, and onboard new agency partners while achieving assigned agency registration targets.
* Conduct sales calls, meetings, webinars, and virtual training sessions to educate brokers and strengthen long-term partnerships.
* Expand existing books of business by providing responsive service, resolving client issues, and maintaining regular communication with producers.
* Maintain accurate databases of current and prospective producers.
* Monitor competitor activity, pricing, market trends, and producer performance metrics—including quote ratios, close ratios, renewal persistency, and loss ratios—to adapt marketing strategies as needed.
* Develop and implement marketing initiatives and supporting materials that promote business growth.
* Serve as a primary point of contact between brokers, agents, clients, and internal business partners to ensure effective communication and strong working relationships.
* Represent the organization through written correspondence, trade shows, and other business development activities.
* Stay informed on industry trends, legislative updates, and market developments to proactively respond to changing business needs.
What You Bring

### Education
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
### Experience
* Relevant experience developing and managing business relationships with brokers, agents, or clients.
* Experience supporting business development, sales, or marketing initiatives.
* Ability to apply established business development principles, practices, and procedures in a structured environment.
### Key Competencies
* Strong relationship-building and client management skills with the ability to develop new business opportunities and maintain existing partnerships. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with professionalism, confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy. Advanced organizational and analytical abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Knowledge of insurance industry trends, legislative developments, and market conditions. Ability to analyze producer performance metrics and adapt marketing strategies accordingly. Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word.

**Pay Transparency**
The pay range for this position is $50,500 - $110,500 which includes geographic adjustments, where applicable. The pay range is the range TMHCC, in good faith, believes is the range of compensation for this role at the time of this posting. The hired applicant will be offered pay within the entire range based on the candidate's geographic location, qualifications, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
