Banking Services Operations Associate 3 - Mortgage Payments & Maintenance

****Overview:**** ================= Completes basic mortgage payment processing and special loans duties and basic research tasks.  ****Primary Responsibilities:**** --------------------------------- * Complete routine data entry, system updates and validation related to mortgage payments, payoffs and special product maintenance. * Complete standardized document review and validation related to mortgage notes, modifications and ACH (Automated ClearingHouse) agreements. * Complete basic documentation preparation related to mortgage loan modification documents. * Respond to or initiate standard requests on exception payment applications or mortgage document term research. * Complete mid-level complexity research into maintenance completed, payments and payoffs. * Complete entry-level reconciliations of system maintenance and cash work as required by assigned area. * Complete routine or standardized exception processing of payments, payoffs and ARM (Adjustable Rate Mortgage) criteria outside current system logic. * Maintain contact with internal business partners and external customers as required in completing assigned responsibilities. * Work with, assist and complete quality control of offshore vendors who are processing work on behalf of the Bank. * Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.  Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management. * Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand. * Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable. * Complete other related duties as assigned. ****Scope of Responsibilities:**** ---------------------------------- The jobholder may work in Mortgage Payments, Payoffs or Special Products and is responsible for entry-level tasks noted above. **Education and Experience **Required:**** ------------------------------------------ Associates’ degree, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 2 years’ higher education and/or work experience Proven internal and external customer service experience Proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent spreadsheet and word processing software Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated problem-solving skills ****Education and Experience Preferred:**** ------------------------------------------- Minimum of 1 year’s relevant experience #LI-111 M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees.
