📍 **Kew, Victoria ​** **Casual Opportunities Available** We’re on the lookout for an experienced and energetic **Barista** to join the team at **Studley Park Boathouse**!   If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a passion for great coffee, and can keep your cool under pressure, we want to hear from you.   We're looking for someone who takes pride in delivering consistently high-quality coffee, enjoys creating great guest experiences, and works well as part of a team.   About the Role -------------- As a Barista, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional coffee service while maintaining quality, consistency, and efficiency during busy service periods. You’ll manage the espresso station, prepare a range of beverages, and ensure every drink meets our high standards. From dialing in grinders and perfecting espresso extraction to maintaining a clean and organised workspace, you’ll play a key role in creating memorable experiences for our guests.   Key Responsibilities -------------------- ### Espresso Preparation & Quality Control * Efficiently dial in grinders, extract espresso shots, and texture milk to consistent high standards during peak periods * Prepare a full range of hot and cold coffee beverages, specialty drinks, and alternative milk options according to venue recipes and dietary preferences * Maintain consistent extraction times, milk temperatures, micro-foam quality, and drink presentation under pressure * Ensure all beverages are prepared with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail   ### Speed of Service & Workflow Management * Maintain a clean, organised, and fully stocked espresso bar including cups, milks, syrups, and beans * Manage docket flow effectively and prioritise orders to maximise efficiency without compromising quality * Ensure accurate customer orders through POS or pass communication * Work collaboratively with the wider Front of House team to deliver smooth service   ### Equipment Care & Hygiene * Complete routine coffee machine maintenance including backflushing, group head cleaning, steam wand sanitising, and grinder adjustments * Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards across the coffee station * Keep work areas, equipment, milk jugs, and surfaces clean and sanitised * Complete end-of-shift cleaning and close-down procedures   What We’re Looking For ---------------------- * Proven high-volume coffee/barista experience * 1–2 years of relevant barista experience preferred * Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency * Great customer service and communication skills * Ability to work well as part of a team * Ability to stay calm and efficient under pressure * Weekend availability is essential (Saturday & Sunday mornings and afternoons)   What We Offer ------------- * Opportunities for career growth and development within Australian Venue Co. * Supportive and inclusive team culture * Ongoing training and development * Employee discounts and benefits across AVC venues * Flexible casual roster opportunities * Opportunity to work in a beautiful and welcoming hospitality venue   If you’re passionate about great coffee and delivering exceptional guest experiences, apply now and become part of the team at **Studley Park Boathouse**.   **Join our fun & thriving team now!**
