Batch Plant Operator

Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. **What You'll Be Doing** * Operate and monitor asphalt plant equipment to ensure safe and efficient production * Perform routine inspections, basic troubleshooting, and adjustments on plant systems * Coordinate material flow to meet production demands and quality specifications * Complete daily operational logs and communicate issues promptly * Support safe work practices, housekeeping, and team collaboration across the site **What Are We Looking For** * Ability to operate and learn plant systems, controls, and related equipment * Strong awareness of safety practices in industrial or manufacturing settings * Capability to perform basic mechanical troubleshooting and equipment checks * Dependability in following procedures, documentation, and production standards * Effective communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment * Ability to work nights/ weekends as needed **Conditions of Employment** * Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check * Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing **Work Environment** * Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level **What We Offer** * $27 - $32 per hour plus shift differential * Benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision and Retirement * Union paid vacation, sick leave and holidays Equal Opportunity Employer - Minority / Female / Veteran / Disabled
