Buyer

We are seeking a highly organized and technically proficient **Buyer** to join our procurement team. This is a unique hybrid role that combines strategic purchasing with quality assurance oversight. In this position, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of drawing parts procurement, from order release to delivery, while also ensuring our global suppliers meet rigorous quality standards. **Key Responsibilities:** •    To manage purchase order release, and follow up suppliers’ delivery, to ensure the lines running smoothly and inventory control •    Prepares purchase orders, follow up order requests/deliveries with suppliers. Co-odinate/communicate with other deptments on order requets/tech. Requiremnts if needed •    System updating and maintenance •    Perform other duties, assignments and special projects that may be required from time to time •    Harmonizing global supplier quality process and tool. •    Monitor, report, and drive improvements based on defined quality KPIs. •    Conduct evaluations for new suppliers and periodic re-evaluations for existing suppliers. •    Supervise supplier manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality standards. •    Perform on-site inspections at supplier facilities. •    Communicate and enforce global quality requirements to suppliers. •    Ensure full compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards to maintain expected professional conduct and performance. **Expectations for you:**  •    Advanced Colleague / Bachelor •    Sourcing/Purchase skills, drawing ability, commercial parts sourcing/order process are necessary. •    Experience with an industrial working environment •    Familiar with SAP •    Familiar with drawing parts order follow up/deliveries •    Familiar with drawing parts order process. •    SQE Experience in managing suppliers  •    English skill To succeed in this role, We also expect you to align with Valmet’s Leadership Principles—practical behaviours that guide how we lead, collaborate, and succeed together: * Take accountability – Act with ownership, set clear expectations, and follow through * Lead with courage – Champion change, try bold ideas, and learn quickly * Build on trust – Listen to understand, be open, and create psychological safety * Collaborate for growth – Work across boundaries, value diverse perspectives, and focus on customer value **We offer** Competitive pay, comprehensive insurance, and a vibrant workplace culture filled with team-building events and employee clubs.
