This role requires technical expertise in operating ultrasound equipment, patient care skills, and the ability to provide accurate and high-quality diagnostic images. Responsibilities also require a strong commitment to patient care and collaborative communication with patients and healthcare professionals to provide optimal care. **Position Details:** ===================== **Position Description:** **Cardiac Sonographer** **Location****: Onsite** **Type:** **Full -Time - 40 hours** -------------------------------------------------------------- **Schedule: Day Shift (Holidays/Weekends included)** **Mercy Heart & Vascular Hospital St. Louis** ============================================= **625 S New Ballas Rd** **Saint Louis, MO 63141** **Career Ladder Opportunities:** **Cardiac Sonographer:** * Education: Graduate of a school of Sonography and completed required clinical hours OR received on the job training by a Preceptor who is registered in Cardiac ultrasound. * Experience: no experience required. * Certification: ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI(RCS) or registry eligible (must obtain registry within 6 months of eligibility); Basic Life Support (BLS); * Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice. **Advanced Cardiac Sonographer:** * Education: Graduate of a school of Sonography and completed required clinical hours OR received on the job training by a Preceptor who is registered in Cardiac ultrasound. * Experience: 1+ years of relevant experience. * Certification: ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI(RCS); Basic Life Support (BLS). * Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice. **Senior Cardiac Sonographer:** * Education: Graduate of a school of Sonography and completed required clinical hours OR received on the job training by a Preceptor who is registered in Cardiac ultrasound. * Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience. * Certification: ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI(RCS); Basic Life Support (BLS). * Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.   **What Makes You a Good Match for Mercy?** Compassion and professionalism go hand-in-hand with us.
