We are looking for someone who shares our commitment to fostering a vibrant workplace community. **The link to the** [**Department of Corrections Region 3 map**](http://www.dc.state.fl.us/ci/region3.html) **is included to assist you in identifying the location of each facility.  Please ensure that the location you select is within the vicinity or the location you desire.**   **What You’ll Do** As a Career Development Specialist, you’ll play a key role in providing services related to Compass 100 Hybrid and supplemental in-cell assignments through cell-front instruction for eligible participants who are in restrictive housing as directed by the Lead Educator.  Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for: * Facilitating employability and life skills, administration and interpretation of assessments, and training to include the Compass 100 hybrid curriculum and Thinking for a Change.  * Providing services related to Compass 100 Hybrid and supplemental in-cell assignments through cell-front instruction for eligible participants who are in restrictive housing as directed by the Lead Educator. Providing facilitation of employability and life skills programs. Providing administration and interpretation of assessments. * Providing services related to Compass 100 Hybrid through a small group setting to eligible participants who are not in restrictive housing as directed by the Lead Educator and other programs as determined by the Department. Providing facilitation of pre-release connections with community providers and employers through face-to-face and technology-based interactions to include pre-release job search, recruitment, and placement activities. * Reporting monthly attendance, program enrollments and completions on the Department of Corrections approved format. Maintaining and providing documentation of services delivered. **Who We’re Looking For** We’re seeking a candidate who brings not only technical expertise but also a passion for education and student success. Our ideal candidate will have: * An Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university or a high school diploma, and Two (2) years of professional experience in the workforce development, social services or corrections field. * Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry.
