Hanover,PA - USA **Position Requirements** North American Partners in Anesthesia is looking for a Chief Anesthesiologist to join UPMC Hanover! UPMC Hanover is accredited by The Joint Commission, including being a Certified Primary Stroke Center. In addition, UPMC Hanover has achieved the status of Blue Distinction Center for Maternity Care, and Get With the Guidelines Stroke Gold Plus. _Case Assignments_ Diverse case mix including orthopedics, general surgery, urology, endoscopy, ENT and ophthalmology. No cardiac or neuro cases. Limited pediatric cases. _Shifts_ **Team** _Leadership_ Charles Rizzuto, MD **Requirements** _Responsibilities_ * Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures * Pre-anesthesia assessment * Obtains and/or verifies patient consent * Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia * Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition * Performance of clinical intervention as needed _Requirements_ * M.D./D.O.
