**Find your calling at Mercy!** =============================== The Child Counselor is primarily responsible for addressing the emotional and mental needs of Casa de Misericordia children and adolescent clients. **Position Details:** ===================== **Minimum Qualifications** **Education:** •   **Arkansas:** Master's degree in counseling, psychology or related field. •   **Texas:** Enrolled in master's degree in counseling, psychology, or related field with timeline to receive of 2 years. **Licensure:** • **Arkansas:** Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC or Provisionally Licensed Master of Social Worker, LMSW in the state of Arkansas. • **Texas:** Current licensure or currently pursuing license in the state of Texas. **Experience:** One to two years' experience in a center for victims of family violence or similar setting. **Preferred Qualifications** **Education:** • **Texas:** Master's degree in counseling psychology. **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:** • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a must. • Knowledgeable about development issues and cultural sensitivities. • Ability to work extended hours as needed. • Ability to work with and preserve confidential information. • Basic computer skills. **Why Mercy?** ============== From day one, Mercy offers outstanding benefits - including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, tuition support, and matched retirement plans for team members working 32+ hours per pay period.
