We develop and operate critical hybrid and public cloud platform services, supporting Motorola Solutions' Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions. Our division unifies voice, video, and data feeds into an ecosystem built to scale on modern Azure, AWS, and GCP infrastructure, executing our global mission of "Solving for safer". Job Description ------------------ We are looking for a proactive, self-motivated software professional to analyze, design, and maintain highly scalable backend services for our core public safety products. In this role, you will work in a people-first culture focused on innovating what's next in cloud operational intelligence. As an imaginative and confident engineer, you will collaborate to solve real-world system challenges, building resilient software infrastructure that supports communities when time is of the essence. **Key Responsibilities:**   **Cloud Platform Development** * Analyze, develop, and design robust cloud services using modern **Java** ecosystems and frameworks * Build and scale cloud computing infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP architectures * Implement secure and reliable backend workflows that manage throughput and system consistency   **API & Service Integration** * Design and deploy resilient **REST API** architectures and **WebServices** to unify data workflows * Utilize **Hibernate** and related ORM frameworks to orchestrate data lifecycle and storage pipelines * Leverage the **Spring Framework**, including **Spring Boot** and **Spring Security**, to optimize ecosystem capabilities   **Collaboration & Systems Engineering** * Perform system integration of software components to simplify complex workflows for end-users * Collaborate with cross-functional product groups to align backend APIs with **Angular** and **React** frontend experiences * Troubleshoot complex architectural issues and handle system optimizations under operational scale Basic Requirements --------------------- Basic Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a technical field * 5+ years of experience in backend software development with a focus on **Java**   **Job Requirements:**   **Technical Expertise** * **Spring Boot** to build, configure, and secure microservices within automated cloud infrastructure * **REST APIs** to develop scalable endpoints that facilitate high-throughput data exchange * **Hibernate** to optimize object-relational mapping and perform advanced database queries * **Cloud Infrastructure** to utilize Azure, AWS, or GCP services for scalable application deployments   **Professional Experience** * **Technical Troubleshooting** to analyze, isolate, and resolve complex systemic software issues * **Agile Collaboration** to deliver software increments successfully within a cross-functional team environment * **Technical Documentation** to create clear system structures and developer documentation for backend platforms   **Preferred Qualifications (Optional)** * Experience working with frontend frameworks like **Angular** or **React** * Understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines in a cloud context * Familiarity with messaging systems or streaming architectures for high-volume data platforms **#LI-RD1** Travel Requirements ---------------------- None Relocation Provided ---------------------- None Position Type ---------------- Experienced Referral Payment Plan --------------------- Yes _**EEO Statement**_ Motorola Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
