Job Description
* **Machine Operation:** Operate 3-axis vertical CNC machines to produce parts according to specifications and blueprints.
* **Setup and Programming:** Set up CNC machines, including raw material preparation, loading materials, machining tool setups, inputting programs, and adjusting settings to ensure accurate production.
* **Quality Control:** Inspect CNC programs and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. This will include the use of precision measuring tools.
* **Maintenance:** Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
* **Safety Compliance:** Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
* **Documentation:** Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine settings, and maintenance activities
* Being as specific as possible and using action words, provide bulleted list of the primary duties/tasks/responsibilities of the role.
**Requirements**
* **Experience:** Previous experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment or technical/vocational school graduation with a manufacturing focus is preferred.
* **Technical Skills:** Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings, strong understanding in the use of hand tools and precise measuring tools, CAD/CAM familiarity and CNC machine operation and maintenance.
* **Attention to Detail:** Strong focus on accuracy and quality in production.
* **Problem-Solving:** Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with machinery and production processes.
* **Physical Stamina:** Capability to stand for extended periods and handle physical tasks associated with machine operation
* Strong time management and organization.
* Knowledge of lean manufacturing processes
* Forklift Certified preferred.
**Work Environment or Physical Demands**
* Manufacturing floor with exposure to machinery noise and potential hazards.
* Ability to stand for long periods.
* Frequent lifting, carrying, and moving materials upwards of 60 pounds.
* Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to handle tools and machinery.
* Bending, stooping, and reaching to access machine components and materials.
