We are proud to have become a shining example of what's possible when the brightest professionals dedicate themselves to making a difference in the healthcare industry, and in people's lives.  **Pay** ------- * We offer competitive hourly pay with shift differential incentives. **Schedule & Incentives** ------------------------- * Schedule: Friday- Sunday 6p-630a * This role is eligible for a **$20,000 sign‑on bonus** * Benefits program that includes PTO, mental health support, wellness rooms, concierge services and more * Access to **Wellstar’s CareerCare program** for fully funded education and guided career progression **Job Summary** --------------- * The **CT Technologist** applies their expertise to deliver safe, high‑quality imaging and a supportive patient experience at **Columbia County Medical Center Hospital** * Technologists at Wellstar are respected clinical professionals and essential members of a collaborative care team * If you’re looking for a place where you’re supported and where your well‑being, career growth, and voice truly matter, you’ll find it here **Required Qualifications** --------------------------- ### _**Education**_ * High School Diploma or equivalent * Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program ### _**Experience**_ * Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology Required ### _**Certifications**_ * ARRT‑R (Radiography) * ARRT‑CT – ARRT Computed Tomography * BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association **Core Responsibilities** ------------------------- * Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines, use your technical knowledge to capture quality diagnostic images * Work independently operating imaging or radiographic equipment safely and adjusting techniques to maintain diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA) * Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms or equipment per infection control schedules; identify and report equipment issues promptly * Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and two unique patient identifiers before any exam * Explain procedures, prep, and post‑care clearly using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety * Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age‑appropriate care throughout the visit * Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol, using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable * Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated * Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat or correct as needed and release patients appropriately * Complete accurate, timely documentation and ensure studies are correctly finalized in RIS/PACS (including transfers/retrieval, CDs, and prior exam retrieval as needed) * Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and help maintain and restock crash cart and life‑support equipment as required * Organize daily workflows to meet expected timeframes; collaborate with technologists/modalities to support department flow * Support operations and compliance, keep areas orderly and stocked, transport patients safely, complete charging/clerical tasks, follow regulatory requirements, and escalate issues to the supervisor   **Join us and discover the support to do more meaningful work—and enjoy a more rewarding life.
