Day Shift Excavator Operator

Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. **What You'll Be Doing** * Safely operate excavator equipment to support mining, material handling, and site production activities. * Load, move, sort, and stockpile materials while maintaining production targets. * Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections and promptly report maintenance needs or safety concerns. * Maintain safe work practices and comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. * Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and a clean, organized work area. **What Are We Looking For** * Demonstrated ability to safely and efficiently operate excavator equipment in a production environment. * Strong commitment to workplace safety, attendance, and operational excellence. * Ability to perform equipment inspections, identify issues, and communicate effectively with supervisors and maintenance teams. * Capability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. * Willingness and ability to adapt to changing operational needs and priorities. **Conditions of Employment** * Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug screen, and background check. * Successful candidate must be able to meet all job-related safety and performance requirements. **Work Environment** * Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level. **What We Offer** * Starting pay $26.50 per hour DOE (depending on experience) * 401(k) retirement savings plan with an automatic company contribution as well as matching contributions. * Highly competitive benefits programs, including: * Medical, Dental, and Vision along with Prescription Drug Benefits. * Health Saving Savings Account (HSA), Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA). * AD&D, Short- and Long-Term Disability Coverage as well as Basic Life Insurance. * Paid Bonding Leave, 10 days of Paid Vacation, 40 hours of Paid Sick Leave and 10 Paid Holidays.
