Working on replica vessels, you’ll help deliver realistic training in at-sea replenishment—ensuring crews are prepared, capable, and mission-ready. **Job title:** Deckhand (Replenishment at Sea) **Job Description:** 🕒 Full-time role – 37.5 hours a week 📍 HMS Raleigh, Torpoint 🔐 Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level. **What you’ll be doing** * Acting as a line handler / winch operator on the replica ships (Deckhand) * Acting as a safety number during training. * Carrying out maintenance tasks on training equipment. * Ensuring that the maintenance of all authority training equipment is carried out to enable equipment performance standards to be met and the training programme maintained. * Recording the implementation of equipment maintenance to ensure performance is maintained and changes made with the authority agreement in order that maintenance costs can be reduced overtime. * Ensuring company Health, Safety and Environmental procedures are implemented and complied with at all times. **What we’re looking for:** **Essential:** * Previous experience of deck operations within a marine environment. * Experience of handling ropes and winches * Knowledge of how to use Maintenance Management Systems. * Demonstrable proficiency in using IT (hardware/software) **About Selborne** Selborne is a bold, £1 billion, 12-year transformation of Royal Navy training, led by Capita and a powerhouse consortium known as Team Fisher — including Raytheon UK, Fujitsu, and the University of Lincoln.
