**City/State** Suffolk, VA **Work Shift** Second (Evenings) **Overview:** **Sentara BelleHarbour, located in Suffolk, Virginia, is currently hiring a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer for a Part Time, Evening (2nd) Shift.** **Hours** * Part Time, Evening (2nd) Shift * Monday - Friday: 4:30pm - 9:30pm * No weekends! **Overview** Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures in ambulatory setting requiring independent judgment, under the direction of a qualified physician. Proficient in preliminary structural reporting.  Conducts general diagnostic ultrasound imaging studies of patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician, to include: scanning of patient for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology, operation of sonography equipment, operation of the electronic radiology systems, preparation of patient room/equipment/medications, and maintains adequate supply inventory. Explains examination and procedure to patient and completes departmental documentation. The center is home to a 3T MRI, CT, PET CT, full digital mammography, ultrasound, bone densitometry, PVL (vascular imaging services), non-invasive cardiac diagnostic testing, and digital X-ray. Physicians and patients also benefit from the expertise of our sub-specialized radiologists who ensure accurate results from the high quality images.
