Diesel Mechanic - 2nd Shift

**Rock River Disposal** is looking for a _safety conscious_ **Diesel Mechanic** to join the team at our recycling facility in **Rockford, IL.  This shift starts at 4PM.** Our Diesel Mechanic will perform repairs and preventative maintenance services and repairs on our trucks and equipment.  **Duties & Responsibilities:** * Performs repairs (including electrical and hydraulic systems) and assigned preventive maintenance services. * Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs. * Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment. * Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times. * Reviews and completes repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports. * Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards. * Will be working on the industrial machinery as needed * Other duties as assigned **Pay-** This position pays $30/hr for a C Level Mechanic **Requirements:** * Possess own tools * Previous work experience required * Ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly throughout the day. * Ability to work outside in all weather conditions. _Waste Connections is an equal opportunity employer.
