Diesel Mechanic

**Anson County Landfill** in **Polkton, NC** has an immediate opening for a safety-minded **Diesel Mechanic** who takes pride in maintaining equipment and helping keep our drivers and communities safe. **What You'll Do** * Perform inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on diesel trucks and equipment. * Repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems. * Utilize vehicle diagnostic software to identify and resolve issues. * Review and complete repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs). * Complete maintenance documentation using fleet software. * Test drive equipment after repairs. * Maintain a clean and safe work environment. * Assist team members and perform other duties as assigned. **What We're Looking For** * Minimum 2 years of experience required performing diesel equipment diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance. * Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment. * Basic mechanic tool set. * Class B CDL, preferred but not required * Hydraulic experience is a plus. **What We Offer** * Competitive pay * 401(k) with company match * Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance * Life and Disability insurance * Employee Stock Purchase Plan * Employee Assistance Program * Scholarship opportunities for children * Employee Relief Fund and additional employee perks Join a company that values safety, teamwork, and career growth while making a difference in the communities we serve.
