Direct Transport Sales Manager – Commodities

We are seeking a dynamic individual for the role of **Direct Transport Sales (DTS) Manager** who will be responsible for leading a high performing team focused on minerals and commodities including export and import, driving Ocean, Depot and First Mile customer retention, expansion development and performance delivery across the area. This role ensures alignment with organizational goals by fostering client relationships, executing sales strategies, and achieving sales targets while maintaining operational excellence. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Define sales strategy and commercial priorities for the Commodities business. * Conduct market analysis to identify growth opportunities. * Oversee forecasting and budgeting processes to align with business goals. * Ensure optimal activity and account management to truly understand customers and their needs. * Ensure sales effectiveness, efficiency and team management and optimization. * Facilitate training and coach field sales representatives for capability improvement. **WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:** * Preferably 5 years’ experience leading a commercial team. * Extensive experience in logistics / freight forwarding experience * Proven sales leadership and ability to motivate a team * strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills * Adaptability to dynamic logistics challenges (e.g., rate and capacity fluctuations) with strong strategic thinking to convert market insights into actionable plans * Strong analytical and critical thinking to drive data-driven decision-making Maersk is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we embrace different styles of thinking.
