Director of IT Infrastructure & Security

**COMPANY** =========== We're looking for a hands-on, strategic IT leader to be our Director of IT Infrastructure & Security. This is a foundational role responsible for designing, building, and securing the technology backbone of our business. You’ll lead the build-out of Ryze’s internal IT systems, modernize infrastructure, create security protocols, and oversee Help Desk support while preparing the organization for its next growth phase. **ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES** =========================== **Build the IT Function From the Ground Up** * Design and implement the company’s IT infrastructure roadmap, prioritizing scalability and cloud-first solutions. * Evaluate current systems, identify gaps, and develop future-state architecture including networking, SaaS management, endpoint security, and device provisioning. * Lead sourcing, implementation, and administration of tools supporting business operations, collaboration, and data security. **Security & Compliance Ownership** * Establish and maintain information security policies, practices, and governance frameworks. * Monitor and mitigate security risks, overseeing vulnerability management, threat detection, and incident response protocols. * Ensure compliance with regulations and standards, including SOC2, GDPR, CCPA, as the company scales. **Operational Support & Vendor Management** * Oversee and scale a lean IT team, beginning with Help Desk contractors. * Create efficient IT support processes for onboarding/off boarding, access control, device management, and troubleshooting. * Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and evaluate technology partners. **Collaboration & Strategic Leadership** * Partner with stakeholders across Operations, Finance, Marketing, and People to align IT initiatives with business needs. * Contribute to business continuity planning and disaster recovery strategies. * Serve as the go-to leader for internal IT initiatives, bridging tactical execution with strategic foresight. **WHAT WE OFFER** ================= **What We’re Looking For** * 10+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure and/or security, with at least 7 years in a leadership role. * Proven experience building or scaling internal IT functions in a high-growth or startup environment. * Experience with help desk operations, vendor management, and IT integration in distributed teams. * Strong knowledge of network architecture, endpoint management, cloud/SaaS ecosystems (e.g., Google Workspace, Okta, Intune/JAMF) and cybersecurity frameworks. * Hands-on mindset with the ability to execute day-to-day while driving strategic vision. * Excellent communication, collaboration, and proactive problem-solving skills. * Experience in eCommerce, consumer products, or distributed workforce environments. * Familiarity with AI tools and automation workflows is a plus. * Previous SOC2 readiness or audit experience preferred.
