We are looking for a **Document Designer/Controller** located in **Freeport, Texas**, supporting our manufacturing operations. What You Will Do: ----------------- * Conduct field walkdowns in various weather conditions to gather information and create and/or verify as-built piping drawings within the manufacturing facility. * Generate and maintain Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), 3D models, plot plans, isometrics, and engineering details. * Demonstrate a strong understanding of a chemical manufacturing environment and applicable engineering documentation. * Collaborate effectively with engineers, contractors, operations, maintenance, and construction personnel to support project execution. * Complete multiple fast-paced engineering documentation projects while maintaining quality, accuracy, and project schedules. * Assign and physically identify equipment numbers for new and existing assets in partnership with Engineering and Contractors. * Maintain Piping Line Lists, Specialty Item Lists, and the Instrument/Equipment Tag Number Master Database. * Revise engineering drawings and incorporate approved markups. * Manage and maintain both electronic and hard copy engineering drawing files. * Maintain vessel, tank, exchanger, relief device, and piping inspection records and spreadsheets. * Track inspection activities, certifications, vendors, inspectors, and compliance documentation. * Plan and track project and turnaround activities using Microsoft Project, Microsoft Planner, or similar planning tools while supporting team onboarding and training. * Follow Lean manufacturing principles and all company safety procedures, policies, and protocols. * Manage and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. * Perform all other duties as assigned. Position Details: ----------------- * Located at the Freeport, Texas manufacturing facility. * Primarily plant-based position supporting engineering, operations, and maintenance teams. * Regular field walkdowns in an operating chemical manufacturing facility. * Must be able to work in varying outdoor weather conditions while performing field verification activities. * Collaborate with Technical, Fixed Equipment, Operations, Capital Projects, Maintenance, and Contractors. Pre-Employment Requirements: ---------------------------- * Drug and alcohol testing. * Background check. * Fitness-for-duty requirements as applicable. Minimum Qualifications: ----------------------- * Associate's degree in CAD or a related technical field preferred. * Minimum of five years of piping design experience within the chemical or process manufacturing industry. * Proficiency with applicable industry piping design codes and standards. * Proficiency with AutoCAD Plant 3D and/or CADWorx 3D. * Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail. * Ability to prioritize multiple assignments while maintaining accurate engineering documentation. * Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team. Preferred Qualifications: ------------------------- * Experience supporting document control within a chemical manufacturing or industrial plant environment. * Experience maintaining engineering drawing databases and inspection records. * Experience supporting turnaround planning and capital projects. * Familiarity with equipment tagging systems, piping line lists, engineering document management systems, and Microsoft Project or Microsoft Planner. * Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles. Physical Demands: ----------------- * Ability to perform field walkdowns throughout an operating manufacturing facility. * Ability to work in varying outdoor weather conditions. * Ability to climb stairs, walk extended distances, and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). * Position is considered safety-sensitive and may be subject to employer and customer drug testing requirements.
