**Job Description:**
This job is responsible for defining an architectural vision and solution that supports the strategic outcomes of the Business' Products and Services.
The Data Scientist position is a critical role within RAD, responsible for the ongoing support, enhancement, governance, and strategic evolution of the Persona Model and related data science initiatives. This role serves as the primary subject matter expert for Persona Model operations, maintaining end-to-end ownership of model processes, dependencies, retraining activities, performance monitoring, and compliance with Model Risk Management (MRM) governance requirements.
The position plays a key role in advancing enterprise device access strategies by partnering across teams to align Persona Model capabilities with future initiatives, including HVD 2.0 and MacBook adoption programs. Additionally, the role is responsible for leading complex data engineering and analytics efforts, including the migration of Erica for Employees (E4E) data from SQL-based platforms to the Hadoop environment.
The successful candidate must possess deep technical expertise in data science, machine learning model lifecycle management, data architecture, and governance processes. Given the highly specialized nature of the work and the significant institutional knowledge required to support the Persona Model and E4E initiatives, this position is essential to ensuring operational continuity, reducing key-person risk, and enabling the successful delivery of strategic business and technology objectives across RAD, CAS, and related partner organizations.
**Responsibilities:**
* Provides critical analytical, modeling, and data governance support across multiple initiatives.
* Owns the Persona Model, demonstrating deep end‑to‑end understanding of model design, data inputs, validation, deployment, and monitoring processes.
* Applies comprehensive knowledge of MRM governance standards and procedures, ensuring all modeling updates adhere to enterprise risk and compliance expectations.
* Leads efforts to enhance and modify the Persona Model to support emerging device‑access initiatives.
* Acts as the technical lead for the transition of Erica for Employees (E4E) data from SQL to the Hadoop environment.
* Provides continuity for highly specialized, non‑transferable institutional knowledge that required over a year of ramp‑up time and cannot be replicated quickly by new personnel.
* Ensures RAD maintains the modeling, data, and technical expertise necessary to implement upcoming changes, support ongoing model governance, and respond to evolving business needs.
* Delivers ongoing production support, enhancements, and troubleshooting for mission‑critical data science workflows and proprietary systems relied upon by multiple teams.
