Job Description

**Job Summary** The EEG Technician is an entry to mid-level position that performs EEG procedures according to department and Corewell Health policy and procedures. **Essential Functions** * Performs patient assessment as it relates to electrode fixation product allergies, movement restrictions, and cognitive function. * Knows and recognizes drug and physiological status effects on activity monitored. * Electrode application and maintenance in adherence with the International 10-20 System. * Knowledgeable in correct EEG equipment performance and recognition of clinically significant events. * Basic and intermediate technical troubleshooting, artifact identification and elimination. * Continues to learn and apply basic and intermediate EEG waveform recognition. * All duties and responsibilities of neurodiagnostic assistant **Qualifications** Required * Required High School Diploma or equivalent * Preferred Associate's Degree or equivalent Graduate from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited Electroneurodiagnostic (END) Program. * 6 months of relevant experience Neurodiagnostic/EEG experience Required * CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required Or * CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required **About Corewell Health** As a team member at Corewell Health, you will play an essential role in delivering personalized health care to our patients, members and our communities.
