Job Description

**Title:** Electrical, Control, Instrumentation and Security Group Leader **Location:** Bristol **Salary:** £70,000 - £90,000 + Comprehensive Benefits  **Working Pattern:** Full time (37.5 hrs per week) – Hybrid Working  **Closing Date is 13th September 2026 however we encourage early applications**  At Frazer-Nash our people collaborate, inspire and innovate, applying human-centred thinking and technical skills for a future of sustainable progress. We are seeking to appoint a Group Leader for our Bristol based Electrical, Control, Instrumentation and Security Group. Our work often has a safety critical element and interfaces with other teams within Frazer-Nash to deliver a multi-disciplinary service offering, managing these interfaces and effective communication internally and to clients is an essential element of this role. **Person Specification** The candidate should have a solid technical project delivery background; with experience which should include several of the following: * Lead C&I projects from concept design through to commissioning. * Novel process control system design, including accompanying safety systems. * Good understanding of OT Cybersecurity standards, and hold certification through ISA/IEC or GISP. * Managing the production, verification and approval of; electrical reports, specifications, and detailed design drawings. * Managing a project team to ensure production of deliverables to agreed timelines and within budget. * Client facing to develop requirements and negotiating contracts / agreements, and progress reporting and risk management. There is a real opportunity for the role to offer progression and professional development into new sectors. **Qualifications and Experience** * MEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Or equivalent) * Good practical knowledge of process control systems, along with a solid understanding of EC&I documents such as SLDs, P&IDs, BCDs, and schematics. * Extensive experience leading the development of solutions for safety-critical systems aligned with the following standards: IEC 61513, IEC 61508, IEC 61511 ISO 13849, DO-178, and DO-254. * Mentoring and development of electrical engineers. * Technical leadership on projects * Extensive experience in a consultancy environment. * Supervision / Line management experience * Knowledge of a recognised Project Management (PM) framework **Desirable Requirements:** It is to your advantage if you meet any or all the following additional requirements: * _Experience of working with the following platforms:_ * _Siemens TIA Portal_ * _Pilz PAS4000_ * _Rockwell Studio Logic_ * _Formal functional safety certification/accreditation (such as TUV Functional Safety Professional)_ * _Formal Cybersecurity certification (ISA/IEC or GIAC)_ * _Chartership_ * _Interfacing with Regulators (ONR, DMR, CAA, MAA, Ofgem, ORR, etc)_ **Due to the nature of the work that Frazer-Nash Consultancy undertake, candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment screening and must be able to satisfy clearance criteria for UK National Security Vetting.** ### **Application Process:** To support your application, please upload and provide a tailored CV and cover letter (maximum one A4 page), detailing: * Your understanding of and suitability for the role(s) * Personal interests and experiences relevant to the position * Any challenges and mitigations you foresee
