Electrical Engineer

Electrical Engineer will conduct the design, development, testing, and implementation of electrical as well as control and instrumentation systems and components for various projects. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** ------------------------ * Conduct the design and development of electrical systems, including MV and LV power distribution and control systems. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * Design of digital and analogue controlled systems (PLC and SCADA control) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- * Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to create and review technical drawings, schematics, and layouts using CAD software. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * Conduct calculations and simulations to evaluate system performance and optimize designs. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * Participate in the testing and validation of electrical components and systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations and project specific requirements. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * Develop project documentation, including specifications, reports, and user manuals. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * Troubleshoot electrical and control issues during projects and for aftermarket support and recommend solutions to improve system reliability. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, project managers, and clients, to meet project requirements and timelines. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in electrical, control and instrumentation engineering. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * Design or be part of, develop, test, and supervise the manufacture, Factory acceptance testing, installation and Site acceptance testing and handover of electrical and instrumentation equipment. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * Travel to various customer sites for site meetings, commissioning, verify installations, audits and inspections. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * Assist with costing and tendering of electrical and instrumentation systems. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- * QC/QA of Electrical and Instrumentation components and installations -------------------------------------------------------------------- **POSITION CAPABILITIES** ------------------------- * Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. --------------------------------------------------------------- * PR Eng registration or working toward registration -------------------------------------------------- * 5 years + relevant experience within the Bulk Materials Handling Equipment environment. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * Solid understanding of electrical and control and instrumentation engineering principles and practices. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * Proven experience with CAD software creating EC&I drawings. ----------------------------------------------------------- * Proven experience with electrical design software and simulation tools. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. ------------------------------------------------------ * Effective
