Electronic Industrial Controls Mechanic

Major Duties: - Tests, analyzes, repairs, reconstructs a wide variety of highly complicated electronic, Automatic Data Processing (ADP), and electro-mechanical equipment; and specialized integrated and programmable systems and components. - Modifies, and relocates existing systems to include system layouts as documented in drawings, mechanical, electrical. - Accomplishes component repairs and modifications to the micro-chip level. - Maintains, repairs, services, and implements modifications on computer controlled material handling systems, components and related communication and data processing support systems. - Examples of systems mentioned above: encoders, decoders, interface circuits, serial to parallel data converters, and various input and output devices. - Uses blueprints, schematics, ladder diagrams, program listings, input/output assignment work sheets, manufacturer’s manuals, and other technical guidance material carry out and successfully complete work.
