Engine Assembler Tech 2

Hendrick Motorsports Location: 4400 Papa Joe Hendrick Blvd, Charlotte, North Carolina 28262   **Summary:**  Under the general direction of the Engine Production Manager, the engine assembler is responsible for assembling engines and measuring, inspecting, and assembling components to ensure maximum operating efficiency. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** **include the following:**   * Read and interpret assembly blueprints and specifications manuals and plan assembly or building operations.  * Maintain and lubricate parts and components.  * Inspect and prep components for assembly.  * Set and verify critical clearances.  * Inspect and replace damaged parts in assemblies.  * Maintain and lubricate parts and components for assembly.  * Verify conformance of parts to specifications using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.  * Fasten and install piping, fixtures, and components to form assemblies or subassemblies using hand tools.  **Desired Work Experience:**  * 2+ years  **Education/Experience:**  * Requires working knowledge of basic mechanical skills and competencies.  * Must have a proven track record of building race engines.
