English Camp Instructor in Gotemba for 3-Month Contract

We are looking for an enthusiastic English teacher to join our team for a three-month contract at an English camp program in Gotemba, Shizuoka. Our teaching team currently consists of four experienced Filipino English teachers. If you’re looking for the opportunity to work in a friendly, supportive, and team-oriented environment, we’d love to hear from you. **Contract period** **September 21 – December 19, 2026** Your first week will be a paid orientation period, including classroom observation, training, and getting familiar with the program before teaching begins. You will then teach **three consecutive 4-week English camp sessions**: * September 28 – October 23 * October 26 – November 20 * November 23 – December 18 **Location** Gotemba, Shizuoka (near Mt. Fuji) ** Schedule** Monday to Friday Shift A: **8:00–17:00** or Shift B: **9:00–18:00** There are **no teaching duties on Saturdays or Sundays**. **Students and program** You will teach Japanese **vocational college (senmongakko)** students aged 18–19 in small classes of approximately 15–16 students. Each group attends a **4-week intensive English camp** designed to rapidly improve speaking confidence and practical communication skills. Rather than traditional lecture-style classes, students learn through engaging project-based and task-based activities, presentations, teamwork, games, and real-world communication practice. It is a fun, energetic environment where English is used throughout the day. **Compensation and benefits** **Total compensation of ¥660,000–¥840,000** for the full contract, depending on qualifications and experience. The following are provided **at no cost throughout the contract, including weekends**: * Private single room with Wi-Fi, private shower, and all accommodation costs covered * Electricity, water, and other utility costs * Weekday meals (Monday to Friday) * Access to cooking facilities on weekends With accommodation and most living expenses covered, teachers are able to save a significant portion of their earnings during the contract.
