Job Description
Leo is an innovative program aiming to provide low-latency, high-speed internet to under served populations across the globe through the deployment of a constellation of over 3000 satellites to Low Earth Orbit, and we're looking for a talent Equipment Engineer to join our Satellite Hardware Manufacturing TeamAs the Equipment Engineer for an Equipment Group at Leo, you will be directly responsible for the technical activities in driving improved equipment uptime, availability, and capability improvement for equipment that supports manufacturing our next generation spacecraft. You’ll be responsible for the full equipment lifecycle for key integration and test equipment, from requirements specification, design concept, sourcing, integration, qualification, pilot operation, long term OEE improvement projects, and ultimately end-of-life services associated with the equipment you support. You will leverage your expertise in electro-optical systems development & maintenance to ensure smooth integration & high system availability. You’ll use data & analysis to produce preventative maintenance programs, troubleshoot protocols, critical spares plans, etc. You’ll be a key animating force in the increase in production capacity through vision & execution of capital investment for production scaling & automation of additional equipment as required.Key job responsibilitiesDevelop system requirements, and partner with development groups to drive detail design of new equipmentParticipate in sourcing plans for complex equipment (COTS & custom)Lead equipment integration & site acceptance testingDevelop troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and spares plans for equipmentSupport 2nd line escalation of critical equipment downtimeSpecify & develop facilities interface requirements (power, network, space, LN2/GN2, PCW)Train & support equipment technicians responsible for routine maintenance, troubleshoot, etc.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent- 2+ years of reading and understanding schematics and building drawings experience- 2+ years of programmable logic controls (PLC) programs experience- Experience with prototyping and implementation
Preferred Qualifications:

Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
