Alternatively, you may explore our current Support Staff openings on the ESF Careers Site. **Brief Overview** As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring that all users of the swimming pool are safe and well-supervised, and the Pool environment is clean and safe to use at all times, as well as acting as a member of the school's Facilities Team.  **Responsibilities** * Perform lifeguard services both in school and in external sports venues such as swimming galas * Ensure the pool areas, changing rooms, plant rooms, and boiler rooms are always safe. * Observe the pool users at all times.  Focus on weak swimmers or students with particular difficulties.  Enforce the Pool rules concerning safety and hygiene. * Clean the pool areas, including but not limited to inside, outside and balcony.  Keep all areas clean and tidy. * Monitor and maintain water quality at all times with proper chemicals. * Operate plant rooms and boiler rooms. * Check and report the facilities and equipment conditions in pool areas and changing rooms. * Assist in setting up equipment and carrying out manual handling work for school events. * Perform any other duties as and when assigned by the Head of PE Department and the Facilities & Office Manager. **Requirements** * Pool Lifeguard Award Qualification and Certificate in First Aid * A Pool Management Certificate would be an advantage * 3 years of relevant working experience * Experience in water quality and plant rooms operation is essential * Good communication and interpersonal skills * Responsible and a team player **Application Process:**  Applicants have two options: * Express your interest in this job category across all schools by clicking “**Apply Now**”. * Apply to a specific school opening via the ESF Careers Site. **Applicants must be a permanent Hong Kong resident or possess a valid visa to work in Hong Kong.** Thank you for considering our schools as your employer choice.
