Facility Engineer

**Job Description Summary:** ============================ The Facility Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of manufacturing facilities and utility systems supporting cosmetic production. This role manages HVAC, purified water, compressed air, electrical, and building systems while ensuring compliance with GMP, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. **Job Description:** ==================== **Key Responsibilities** **Facility & Utility Operations** ·        Manage and maintain facility utility systems, including: o   HVAC systems o   Purified Water (PW) systems o   Compressed air systems o   Chillers and cooling towers o   Boilers and steam generation systems o   Electrical distribution systems ·        Monitor facility performance and utility consumption. **Preventive Maintenance** ·        Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs. ·        Coordinate corrective and emergency maintenance activities. ·        Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement root cause corrective actions. ·        Manage spare parts inventory and maintenance records. **GMP & Compliance** ·        Ensure facility systems comply with cosmetic GMP requirements. ·        Support equipment qualification activities: o   IQ (Installation Qualification) o   OQ (Operational Qualification) o   PQ (Performance Qualification) ·        Maintain facility-related SOPs and documentation. ·        Support internal and external audits. **Capital Projects** ·        Support facility expansion and new equipment installation projects. ·        Participate in facility design reviews and commissioning activities. ·        Coordinate contractors and vendors. ·        Manage project schedules, budgets, and technical deliverables. **Safety & Environmental Management** ·        Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards. ·        Conduct facility risk assessments. ·        Support energy conservation and sustainability initiatives. **Continuous Improvement** ·        Drive facility reliability and operational efficiency improvements. ·        Analyze utility usage trends and identify cost reduction opportunities. ·        Implement Lean, TPM, or continuous improvement initiatives. **Education** **Required** ·        Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Related Engineering Discipline **Preferred** ·        Professional Engineer certification ·        Relevant facility management certifications **Experience** **Required** ·        3-7 years of experience in Manufacturing facilities engineering, Utility system maintenance or Industrial plant operations **Preferred** ·        Experience in Cosmetics manufacturing, Pharmaceutical manufacturing, Food manufacturing and/or GMP-regulated environments **Technical Knowledge** **Required** ·        HVAC systems ·        Mechanical utilities ·        Electrical systems ·        Root cause analysis ·        Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) ·        Preventive maintenance programs **Preferred** ·        GMP regulations ·        Validation and qualification processes ·        Building Management Systems (BMS) ·        AutoCAD ·        Energy management systems **Core Competencies** ·        Problem Solving ·        Technical Expertise ·        Communication ·        Project Management ·        Continuous Improvement ·        Stakeholder Collaboration ·        Risk Management ·        Attention to Detail **Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)** ·        Equipment uptime (%) ·        Utility system availability (%) ·        Preventive maintenance completion rate ·        Energy consumption reduction ·        Maintenance cost management ·        Audit findings and compliance score ·        Safety incident rate ·        Project delivery performance **Qualification(s):** ===================== ### **Education(s):** High School ### **Work Experience:** Experience Range II: 2 - 4 years of relevant experience or industry exposure in a related field ### **Skill(s):** Facility Management, Operation Maintenance ### **Language(s):** English ### **Certification(s):** Not Applicable The anticipated compensation range is 13.00 - 41.00 USD Hourly Actual compensation will be determined based on various factors including qualifications, education, experience, and location.
