About the role

The Field Machining Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production or service center activities, ensuring that processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. This role supervises professional-level staff and ensures adherence to quality standards and production or service schedules.
This job profile is intended for People Managers of 4+ professional-level roles.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Supervise production or service staff and assign daily tasks.
* Monitor workflow and ensure production targets are met.
* Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
* Maintain equipment and report maintenance needs.
* Train new employees and support skill development.
* Identify process improvements and implement changes.
* Communicate production status to management.
**Skills & Qualifications**
* Typically requires a technical degree and several years of relevant work experience to be able to manage and coordinate one or more professional-level teams.
* Experience in manufacturing or production supervision.
* Strong leadership and organizational skills.
* Knowledge of safety and quality standards.
* Ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.
* Effective communication and team coordination skills.
