Field Service Technician Pumps

About the role ============== As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of pump systems both at customer sites and in the workshop. Working in a hands-on environment, you will ensure reliable operation of equipment, support troubleshooting activities and contribute to high service quality and customer satisfaction. This role requires a practical mindset, technical expertise and a strong commitment to safety, as well as the flexibility to work across different locations and applications. **Key Responsibilities** * Installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of pumps and associated equipment at customer sites as well as in the workshop * Disassembly, inspection and reassembly of machinery based on defined work scopes or independently in case of unplanned repairs or troubleshooting * Execution of work in line with specified tolerances and manufacturer guidelines or established engineering standards * Performing safety assessments at the worksite (e.g. when changing activities) * On-site activities including coordination and supervision of customer-provided personnel when required * Preparation of service and repair reports as well as required documentation after completion of work * Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental standards – both internally and at customer sites **Your Profile** * Experience in installation, commissioning and maintenance of pumps and associated equipment * Hands-on experience in assembly, repair and testing of machinery – ideally also in a workshop environment * Good command of English and confident use of common IT tools * Independent, structured and solution-oriented way of working * Strong customer and service orientation * Flexible and adaptable with willingness to travel * Team player with good communication skills and a confident presence on site * Ideally VCA certification and initial experience in supervising or guiding others What we offer you ================= * 8% holiday allowance and up to 40 days of annual leave * A solid pension scheme with attractive employer contribution * Travel allowance for commuting (EUR 0.23/km, tax-free) * Free coffee, tea and water, plus access to an on-site canteen with fresh and affordable meals * Free parking on-site * Employee benefit programs such as Bike leasing with tax advantages and Gym contribution * A staff association offering social activities and seasonal gifts * Training and development opportunities aligned with your role and personal development plan Sulzer is an equal opportunity employer.
