Key Responsibilities
====================
### Capital Reporting, Performance Management & Decision Support
* Report monthly capital spend and forecasts (actuals and rolling estimates) to CPS finance and plant management, meeting all deadlines.
* Ensure accurate capital accounting, project forecasting, and capitalization/close-out in collaboration with shared services and local stakeholders.
* Provide value-added analysis and narratives for variances to approved plans; drive corrective actions with project owners.
* Proactively identify and communicate capex risks, opportunities, and delivery impacts across plants.
### Capital Planning & Budgeting
* Lead the annual and multi-year capex planning process, including prioritization, phasing (how much to spend and when), and alignment to CPS guidelines.
* Manage planning calendars and governance checkpoints; coordinate inputs with plant management, engineering, procurement, and operations teams.
* Prepare decision materials for review with the Global team and OUs, including the financial case, payback/returns, risks, and a clear narrative supporting the request.
### Governance, Controls & Compliance
* Own and enforce capital governance across the lifecycle (request, approval, execution, capitalization, and post-investment review), ensuring full compliance with policies and approval authorities.
* Ensure audit readiness for capital spend, including documentation quality, control evidence, and timely closure of findings; liaise with CAD and Control & Compliance teams.
* Monitor capital spend, commitments, and capitalization status versus approved budgets; ensure change control is followed when scope, timing, or cost changes.
* Ensure compliance for taxation- and statutory-related requirements impacting capital projects across Japan and Korea, in coordination with local experts.
### Capital Process Excellence & Digitization
* Drive continuous improvement of capital processes (request, approval, execution, capitalization, and post-investment review), standardizing ways of working across plants.
* Drive digitization and automation of capital reporting and controls; support SAP upgrade implementations and AI-enabled improvements where applicable.
* Manage and track capex investments and projects; ensure financial rigor, benefits tracking, and post-investment reviews.
Qualifications & Experience
---------------------------
* Master’s degree preferred; professional qualification (CA/CIMA/ACCA/CPA) or equivalent is an advantage.
* 7+ years of experience in finance, with prior experience supporting capital processes and investment governance in medium to large-scale manufacturing operations.
* Strong knowledge of SAP and integrated manufacturing systems; experience with reporting automation and digital tools.
* Demonstrated business partnering skills and ability to influence senior management; strong presentation and communication skills, including on investment recommendations.
* Fluency in English; Japanese and/or Korean language skills as an advance.
