Fire Service Technician

**TITLE- Service Technician** **Location – Port Blair** **WD No:** **WD30273817** **What you will do** * Diagnose and rectify defects in Fire Detection and Alarm Systems (FDAS) and control panels onboard ships. * Execute retrofit and commissioning activities for AFDS and fire extinguishing systems (CO₂, FM200, Water Mist, Foam). * Perform annual maintenance contracts (AMC) for AFDS and fire extinguishing systems. * Troubleshoot software issues within control panels, including program upload/download. **How you will do it** * Interpret manuals, P&ID diagrams, and electrical drawings for troubleshooting. * Apply control philosophy knowledge to implement retrofit solutions. * Analyze onboard logbook data to identify and resolve system defects. * Ensure compliance with marine safety standards and operational excellence. **What we look for** * Education: Diploma/Degree in Instrumentation or Electronics Engineering * Experience: 5–7 years of hands-on service experience   **Required** * Expertise in servicing Addressable Fire Detection Systems and Fire Extinguishing Systems   (CO₂, FM200, Water Mist, Foam). * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. * Excellent communication and report-writing abilities. * Willingness to travel across Indian ports. **Preferred** * Knowledge of conventional/addressable fire detection systems. * Experience with naval and marine ship systems.
