Float Patient Scheduler Ft Days

Be the difference.** **Job Summary** Responsible for scheduling patients requiring admission, diagnostics and treatment services, and classes provided by Prisma Health. **Essential Functions** * All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's values:  Inspire health.  Serve with compassion.  Be the difference. * Coordinates the scheduling of patients requiring admission, diagnostic procedures or classes.  Sequences multiple tests/procedures as needed.  Gathers all required patient demographic, clinical and financial information.  Coordinates appointments and classes with the appropriate clinical and clerical staff.  * Coordinates physician scheduling with the on-call schedulers * Follows protocols for "day of", prep instructions, emergencies, and rescheduling. * Communicates with physician office representatives in a professional and efficient manner.  * Performs other duties as assigned. **Supervisory/Management Responsibilities** * This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive. **Minimum Requirements** * Education - High School diploma or equivalent or post-high school diploma / highest degree earned * Experience - Three (3) years related work experience **In Lieu Of** * N/A **Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses** * NA **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities** * Familiarity with medical terminology * Proficient in use of telephone equipment, voicemail, and Windows * Medical office, multi-physician practice, or in-patient medical unit experience- Preferred **Work Shift** Day (United States of America) **Location** Cancer Centers - Faris Road **Facility** 1008 Greenville Memorial Hospital **Department** 10559151 Revenue Cycle-Cancer Institute-CIF Share your talent with us!
