Floor-Attendant

As a Transfer Station Floor Attendant, you are responsible for ensuring that the transfer station operates in a neat, tidy, and cost-effective manner. This entry-level position is based at the Langley Transfer Station. Schedule: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday | 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (Mondays & Tuesdays off)   **Key Responsibilities:** * Perform site maintenance daily using the lawnmower, leaf blower, etc. as well as use the backhoe and forklift to move material around. * Assisting the public with directing customers with the drop off of their disposal & recycling of household items **Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:** * Landfill experience is an asset * Must have a valid driver’s license and access to personal, reliable transportation (site is not accessible by public transit) * Backhoe & forklift experience is an asset * Knowledge of the handling, storage and disposal of Hazardous Substance and Dangerous Waste is an asset. * Experience or a mechanical aptitude would be an asset * This position does require weekend shifts #GFLTalent   _We thank you for your interest.
